Phillips Safety is proud to offer our customers a great assortment of high-quality laser safety glasses and goggles. At Phillips Safety, we manufacture and provide a complete line of laser eyewear protection for all lasers, including products for Medical, Military, Research & Education, and Industrial laser applications. When dealing with lasers, your choice of eyewear is not to be something you cheap out. Phillips Safety’s protective laser safety eyewear protects your eyes by offering a wide range of laser filters. Our laser products will protect your eyes against Class 3R, Class 3B, and Class 4 laser systems.

When buying your laser safety glasses or goggles, be sure to select the best protective laser glasses. They should fit well, protect from all angles of vision, and block or attenuate the appropriate wavelength range and OD (Optical Density) emitted from the laser tools you work with. The operating parameters of your laser, or a Certified Laser Safety Officer (LSO), will determine what laser safety glasses you should use to prevent injuries.

If you do not have a CLSO on staff or information in your laser manual, don’t hesitate to contact us so our laser safety experts can help you. We offer free consultation and OD calculations for laser systems. Plus, CE certified laser safety glasses and goggles are also available.

At Phillips Safety, we pad print the wavelengths that the glasses protect you against directly onto the frame. We also offer custom pad printing, so if you’re interested in this service, please contact us for pricing information. Our protective laser glasses meet or exceed ANSI Z136.1 requirements for use with laser systems and tools.

Yes, they do. All safety glasses at Phillips Safety come with a case for their protection.

To choose the right laser safety glasses for you, first you need to know your laser’s wavelength. You also need to determine the needed protection level based on your laser’s output parameters. For that, you can look for the recommended Optical Density (OD). On our laser safety glasses, this information is displayed on the features of each laser filter, as well as on each product’s description. Finally, check for the visible light transmission and choose the frame that best suits you. For prescription options, you can choose a fitover frame or find glasses with either of the following laser filters: KG5, BG38, CD2, BG3, CR39, G15, BG42, and W570.

For green lasers, Argon laser safety glasses have orange polycarbonate lenses that block beams of green light operating at 532nm wavelength. At Phillips Safety, we offer a variety of laser safety glasses with the Argon filter: AA, AA3, AA8, AKP, and DFIU. If you need help for choosing your laser filter, please contact us on our chat, e-mail us at service@phillips-safety.com, or call us at 1-866-575-1307

To test laser safety glasses a spectrophotometer is required and three steps need to be applied. First, the lens needs to be applied to the spectrophotometer, which will test the amount of light being absorbed against the amount of light being let through at different wavelengths. The amount being absorbed is a measurement known as Optical Density (OD). Second, you need to find out what protection level is needed based on the output of your laser, by looking for the recommended OD of the laser. Finally, compare the OD of your lens to that required. If it is sufficient, it is considered safe.
